Alpinmesse 2025: Europe's leading platform for mountain sports inspires

01.12.2025

The Alpinmesse with Alpinforum attracted over 13,000 visitors to Innsbruck and impressed with innovations, expert knowledge and exciting program.

A meeting place for mountain sports enthusiasts and professionals

The Alpinmesse with Alpinforum 2025 set new standards once again. With over 220 exhibitors, 60 workshops and 50 presentations, it offered a comprehensive programme for all mountain sports enthusiasts and trade visitors on 22 and 23 November. Christian Mayerhofer, Managing Director of CMI, was enthusiastic: ‘The Alpinmesse combines passion, innovation and expertise and brings the Alpine region to life.’

Technical focus: ethics, psychology and prevention

Under the title ‘Mountaineering, only healthy?’, the Alpinforum 2025 addressed current topics such as performance thinking, mental stress and safety aspects. ÖKAS President Peter Paal emphasised: ‘The discussions on health, doping and ethical issues in high-altitude mountaineering, as well as psychological aspects such as fear and decision-making, have shown how relevant these topics are.’ The approximately 600 seats at the lectures were filled throughout, and participants were able to take away valuable insights.

Positive response and new formats

A visitor survey confirmed the high level of satisfaction: over 90 per cent of guests gave the trade fair top marks. The opportunity to try out new products, talk to manufacturers and the practical programme were particularly appreciated. Additional highlights included formats such as the ‘Alpinmesse Pro’ for trade visitors and the new Community Corner.

Workshops, lectures and sporting highlights

The 60 workshops, including avalanche transceiver training and tour planning, were in high demand. The programme was complemented by lectures, film screenings and discussion panels. Sporting highlights such as the BlocAlpin Boulder Cup and the new Biathlon Arena, opened by Olympic champion Vincent Defrasne, attracted numerous visitors. Stars such as Jakob Schubert, Lukas Wörle and Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner further enriched the programme.

Outlook for 2026

The next Alpinmesse with Alpinforum will take place on 21 and 22 November 2026. With its combination of innovation, expertise and passion, it remains an unmissable event for the mountain sports community.
